New book – Information literacy: infiltrating the agenda, challenging minds

Alison Pope and Geoff Walton’s new book ‘Information literacy: infiltrating the agenda, challenging minds’  9781843346104
was published by Chandos Woodhead this month.

There are chapters from well known authors in the field of information literacy – John Crawford, Bob Glass, Nancy Graham, Christine Irving, Gareth Johnson, and Drew Whitworth, new authors Kirsty Baker, Katharine Reedy and Jillian Griffiths as well as chapters from colleagues at Staffordshire University – Keith Puttick, Ben Scoble and Chris Wakeman.

The authors all presented at the Staffordshire University Information Literacy Community of Practice (SUILCoP) between 2007 and 2010 and their chapters are based on these.

This is a diverse and wide ranging volume which covers social media, learning objects, psychometric tests for IL, webquests, IL in the workplace, employability, pedagogy and levels of IL and much more!
