Developing your teaching

CILIP’s Professional Knowledge and Skills Base (PKSB) includes a section on teaching and training skills (8.6). Librarians in some sectors will have many opportunities and support for development, whilst others may only have the chance to attend training infrequently. This section will introduce you to help and support in developing your teaching at whatever time, pace and level suits your needs.

Pedagogic theory
Introduction to some core theories of teaching and learning.
Teaching techniques
Ideas and techniques for teaching information literacy.
Training opportunities
Formal and informal training opportunities for developing your IL teaching.
