Information Literacy Awards 2017 – now open for applications!

Nominations are invited from all sectors for the prestigious Information Literacy Awards 2017, which will be presented at the Librarians’ Information Literacy Annual Conference (LILAC) in Swansea on April 11th, 2017.

Established in 2008, these prestigious awards honour those special people who are making a significant contribution to information literacy within any sector.

Information Literacy Award
This award, sponsored by the CILIP Information Literacy Group and the National Library of Wales, recognises an outstanding individual contribution to information literacy by a UK-based practitioner or researcher. Nominations from all sectors are welcome. The winner will receive £500 for personal use and £500 for their nominated charity. Closing date for applications: Friday, March 3rd, 2017 (17:00 GMT).

Credo Digital Award for Information Literacy
This award, sponsored by Credo Reference, rewards an individual or group who has developed the best new digital educational resource for promoting information literacy launched during 2016. The winner will receive £500 for personal use and £500 for their nominated charity. The closing date for applications: Friday, March 3rd, 2017 (17:00 GMT).

Student Award: Sponsored place at LILAC
The Student Award, sponsored by the CILIP Information Literacy Group, includes free registration for LILAC 2017, travel (from the UK only) and accommodation expenses where appropriate for three students registered on a UK study programme in information/library studies or information literacy. The closing date for applications is Friday, February 17th, 2017 (17:00 GMT).
