Renewed call for entries: George Pitcher Award 2017

Another call for entries for the George Pitcher Award 2017, sponsored by Ingenta and the Copyright Licensing Agency. Full details are in the original post on this website, re-posted below. If any Higher Education staff have done anything which meets the criteria below, Ingenta and the CLA would really love to hear from you!

Ingenta have launched a new award, named after George Pitcher, and supported by the Copyright Licensing Agency (CLA). George created the PackTracker service, which was used by many universities to manage their scanning and digitisation processes. Sadly, George passed away in December 2014 at the age of 61.

Entry is open to staff in Higher Education libraries, who are asked to submit 400 – 500 words on either:
a) a new idea for a technical innovation that would really help you or others in the industry if it could be developed,OR
b) innovative ways in which you have used an existing technology you feel could be of real help to fellow colleagues.

The deadline is 1st December 2016 and the lucky recipient will receive a sponsored place at LILAC 2017.
