JIL appoints new Editor-in-Chief

An announcement by the Editorial Board of the Journal of Information Literacy

Dr. Alison Hicks, the newly-appointed Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Information Literacy

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Dr Alison Hicks as the new Editor-In-Chief for the Journal of Information Literacy (JIL). Alison is a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) at the Department of Information Studies at University College London. She received her PhD from the Swedish School of Library and Information Science, Borås, Sweden and her MSIS from the United States, where she worked for over a decade as an academic librarian.

Alison will be taking on the role from Dr Emma Coonan, who has nurtured authors and developed JIL over the past 5 years. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Emma for her warmth, enthusiasm and contribution to the journal.
