CILIP Training Sessions: Approaches to Teaching Information Literacy in Practice

Dr. Jane Secker and Sarah Pavey, respective chair and schools representative of the CILIP Information Literacy Group, will be leading a training session for library and information staff on Approaches to Teaching Information Literacy in Practice on Friday 6th March 2020 in London, repeated in May in Sheffield.

This half-day workshop is aimed at library and information staff at all levels and is particularly suitable for those working in further education, academic, school and public library settings. It will explore the what information literacy means in schools and further education settings and how this is different in higher education. it explores routes for transition and provides opportunities for collaborative design and development of lessons  that focus on 21st century learning skills.

      Hi, thank you for your interest. This was delivered as a paid-for half-day training event rather than a presentation so there is no presentation available to access.
