Information Literacy Group vacancy for Training Officer – deadline extended!

Deadline for applications extended until Monday, July 5th, 2021

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the CILIP Information Literacy Group committee as our new Training Officer.

Applicants should have experience of committee work (not necessarily with CILIP). Please consult the Training Officer role description for more details on what is involved. Please note that this is a voluntary position, and there is no remuneration related to the post. The appointee will work in partnership with our existing Training Officer, Padma Inala.

Applicants are encouraged from all sectors, including new professionals and students who have a particular interest in promoting information literacy. Applicants should be based in the United Kingdom. CILIP is committed to championing diversity, inclusion and representation. We particularly welcome applications from BAME, disabled, LGBTQ+ and male candidates, who have historically been under-represented on our committees.

As part of our ongoing commitment to diversity and inclusion, CILIP Board has set an organisation-wide goal of 20% BAME representation on all of CILIP’s committees by the end of 2022. To facilitate this, we are offering up to 150 complementary memberships to library and information workers from BAME backgrounds who are duly selected to join a committee before the end of 2022.

Training Officer role description and person specification
