This year’s CILIP Conference takes place on 2nd-3rd July in Liverpool, and representatives from the Information Literacy Group will be attending the conference and running a stand.
One of the conference strands is devoted to Information Literacy, and the keynote speakers include: professor and author R. David Lankes; author, journalist and activist Cory Doctorow; and human rights activist and Director of Liberty, Shami Chakrabarti.
If you are planning to be at the conference, do drop by and say “hello”! We also have an exciting competition running during the conference, with the opportunity to win an iPad mini. We are inviting delegates to visit our stand and record a brief video of their top information literacy teaching tip; anyone who does will be entered into a free prize draw to win an iPad mini. A selection of our favourite tips will then be made available on this website.
To enter, simply visit the IL Group stall where you can record your tip for uploading to our YouTube account. We will draw a name and announce the winner at the end of the Conference.
You can also meet the Chair of the IL Group, Jane Secker, and other members of the committee at our stand during the conference We will be sharing case studies, tips and practical advice to liven up your information literacy teaching. We will have loads of useful freebies too!
