The CILIP Information Literacy Group is sponsoring this teachmeet, which will be held at the University of Derby’s Buxton campus on 25 June 2015, 12:00 – 15:40.
The teachmeet aims to bring together library staff from across the education sectors to:
- Explore the common theme of library induction.
- Facilitate the sharing of innovation and good practice around, as well as new ideas, methods and approaches to, library induction.
- Explore the link between library induction and information literacy.
- Facilitate cross-sectoral knowledge sharing, training and networking.
This could be an event worth attending if you:
- Are involved in library inductions, or want to become more involved in them at your institution.
- Have innovative practice/thinking on inductions to share?
- Want to find out how other institutions and sectors approach library inductions?
There are a total of 7 speaker/presenter places (10 minutes each) and 30 participant places up for grabs. The event is free to attend and lunch will be provided.
