Ingenta have launched a new award, named after George Pitcher, and supported by the Copyright Licensing Agency (CLA). George created the PackTracker service, which was used by many universities to manage their scanning and digitisation processes. Sadly, George passed away in December 2014 at the age of 61.
Entry is open to staff in Higher Education libraries, who are asked to submit 400 – 500 words on either:
a) a new idea for a technical innovation that would really help you or others in the industry if it could be developed,OR
b) innovative ways in which you have used an existing technology you feel could be of real help to fellow colleagues.
