The CILIP Information Literacy Group Committee has a number of vacancies, which offer a great opportunity to become more involved with the work of the Group, learn new skills, network, and help advocate for information literacy. All roles are voluntary and you must be a member of ILG to apply.

- Treasurer – responsible for all ILG financial matters. The role holder must be a member of CILIP and of ILG.
- Membership Secretary – liaises with the CILIP Membership Team, analyses membership statistics, compiles ILG newsletter. Is a key point of contact for general and membership enquiries. The role holder must be a member of ILG.
- Further Education Sector Rep – focal point of liaison between the FE sector and ILG. Works with the FE sector to maintain and raise the profile of ILG and information literacy as a whole. The role holder must be a member of ILG.
- Training Team Member – works with the training team to develop and run our training events, identifying new areas as necessary. The role holder must be a member of ILG, but is not expected to attend ILG committee meetings.
The committee meets four times a year, usually in London, although our next meeting in September will be in Manchester. We also have a dedicated committee mailing list. Committee members also contribute to general committee work, subgroups, task and finish groups and projects as required.
