Award opportunity for library and information researchers

Do you help to deliver a library or information service and have recently carried out research? Perhaps it was in the field of information literacy? If so, you might be interested in applying for a new Library and Information Science Practitioner Researcher Excellence Award that has recently been launched by CILIP’s Library and Information Research Group.

The LIS Practitioner Researcher Excellence Award is worth £500 and will be presented in October 2016 at a New Professionals Day event, either to an individual or a team that has made a substantial contribution to LIS research in 2015-16. In this context, “practitioner researcher” means anyone who works to deliver a library or information service.

The deadline for entries is Monday 5th September 2016.

Please send nominations to Dr Alison Brettle at a.brettle@salford.ac.uk. Members of the LIRG Committee will judge the award.

More information on the award is available on the group’s CILIP webpages.
