Yesterday, the 13th LILAC Conference began. Taking place at Swansea’s beautiful bay campus, the thought-provoking morning sessions set the scene for another excellent conference. LILAC co-chairs Rosie Jones and Lisa Jeskins were a flawless double act as they welcomed everyone, and introduced the new ILG logo.
They gave a special mention to student award winners Leanne Workman and Bethan Davies.
There was a top trumps ice breaker, followed by a brilliant keynote on librarians and information professionals as open practitioners by Josie Fraser.
The afternoon sessions were followed by a wonderful networking evening, which featured live music from ILG Treasurer Elaine Sykes on violin, accompanied by LILAC’s Nigel Morgan on piano.
