JIL: Vacancy for Editor-in-Chief and Copyeditor

We are sad to report that Dr Susie Andretta has indicated her intention to step down as Editor-in Chief of the Journal of Information Literacy, after three very successful years in the post. Her leadership, commitment and the way she has moved the journal forward has been greatly appreciated by the editorial team and by its readership.

As a result, we are looking for someone to take over the mantle and lead the editorial team into its next phase of development. A description of the role is available.

We are, at the same time, looking to strengthen our team of copyeditors, to facilitate the copyediting process and be part of the editorial team. Copyediting work takes place throughout the year, although it peaks during the month before the publication of the Summer and the Winter issues, i.e. in May/June and November/December respectively. In addition to these two regular issues, a special issue may also be published each year. The job description is available.

If you wish to be considered for either of these voluntary roles, please send a short personal statement (no more than 500 words) indicating your ability to undertake the activities listed in the job description. Please send this personal statement, together with a CV, to the Managing Editor, Cathie Jackson, at JacksonCM@cardiff.ac.uk<mailto:JacksonCM@cardiff.ac.uk>, indicating clearly which of the two roles you would like to be considered for. The deadline for applications is 29 February 2012. The Editorial team, Journal of Information Literacy
