Information Literacy Awards 2016 – now open for applications!

Nominations are invited from all sectors for the prestigious Information Literacy Awards 2016, which will be presented at the Librarians’ Information Literacy Annual Conference (LILAC) in Dublin on March 22nd.

Established in 2008, these prestigious awards honour those special people who are making a significant contribution to information literacy within any sector.

Information Literacy AwardThis award, sponsored by the CILIP Information Literacy Group and the Library Association of Ireland, recognises an outstanding individual contribution to information literacy by a UK or Ireland-based practitioner or researcher. Nominations from all sectors are welcome. The winner will receive £500 for personal use and £500 for their nominated charity. Closing date for applications: Friday, February 12th, 2016.

Credo Digital Award for Information Literacy
This award, sponsored by Credo Reference, rewards an innovative/high impact digital information literacy resource developed by a UK or Ireland-based individual or group. The winner will receive £500 for personal use and £500 for their nominated charity. The closing date for applications: Friday, February 12th, 2016.

Student Award: Sponsored place at LILAC
The Student Award, sponsored by the CILIP Information Literacy Group and Taylor & Francis, includes free registration for LILAC 2016, travel (from the UK only) and accommodation expenses for three students registered on a UK study programme. The closing date for applications is Friday, January 29th, 2016.
