EPALE competition announcement

The Electronic Platform for Adult Learning in Europe – EPALE – will be launching a competition on 25 May 2019 on the theme of ‘Health, wellbeing and Adult Learning’ to promote how lifelong learning can have an impact on health and wellbeing. Learning can be formal, non-formal or informal. Entrants need to submit a blog to EPALE UK on the theme to be in with a chance to win.

Libraries are key in the community to engage adults in learning.  I therefore wanted to contact you to see if you or your members would be interested in taking part in our Competition and if you would also be able to promote it to your members. It would be great to have a viewpoint from UK libraries on EPALE about how learning in the community can help with health and wellbeing. The blog could be about library initiatives to get adults and parents involved in learning and the noted impacts that this has had.

Further information about the Competition can be found here.

About EPALE: EPALE is funded by the European Commission and aims to increase the quality and provision of learning in adult education. The platform is aimed at adult education practitioners and we currently have over 50,000 registered users across Europe. EPALE advocates lifelong learning.
