Participants on CILIP’s pilot Leadership Programme are currently seeking the views of the organisation’s members on Continuing Professional Development. The online survey should take around 5 minutes to complete, and all participants will be entered into a prize draw to win a £20 Amazon voucher. The survey is available until Monday, March 14th, 2016.
Your views about CPD matter
Members of the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals (CILIP) are aware of the need to keep up to date with the latest knowledge and skills in their own sectors.
Continuing Professional Development (CPD) contributes to maintaining the quality and reputation of professional organisations in the UK and makes us a truly outstanding profession.
CILIP has many Special Interest Groups (SIGs) covering a range of special interests and professional sectors. These groups would like to improve the quality and the variety of the CPD they currently offer to their members.
Who are we?
We are individual members of CILIP currently enrolled onto the CILIP Leadership Programme.
The CILIP Leadership Programme is a new initiative being piloted in 2015/16, and has been designed to create additional leadership capacity both within the profession and within the CILIP membership. The programme is for CILIP members with some leadership experience (e.g. leading a project/working group, leading a team) looking to further develop their leadership skills. The CILIP Information Literacy Group has sponsored a candidate’s participation in the programme.
We come from a diverse range of sectors and have a common purpose to make recommendations for CPD. One part of this project is to gather your opinion in order to produce a tailored report of recommendations to further CPD opportunities in each SIG.

If you would like to be consulted further about CPD or have not been provided the opportunity to develop your ideas enough, a tick box will be available and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

The survey will be available from 22nd February until 14th March 2016.
The survey results
The survey results will be collated and sent to all SIGs who are stakeholders in the project, to enable them to review membership views on CPD and to make informed decisions about how to best deliver CPD opportunities.
