Bursaries offered to attend LILAC 2015

The CILIP Information Literacy Group is offering 3 free conference places at LILAC 2015 for librarians working in the Schools/FE, Public and Health sectors.

The Librarians’ Information Literacy Annual Conference (LILAC) will take place at Newcastle University on April 8-10, 2015, and is aimed at librarians and information professionals who teach information literacy skills, are interested in digital literacies and want to improve the information seeking and evaluation skills of library users.

The bursaries include 3 days’ attendance at all LILAC sessions and social events (including the networking evening and conference dinner).

Accommodation and travel expenses up to the value of £250 are also available if required.

To be eligible to apply for a free place, you must be a librarian or information professional working in one of the following sectors: Schools/Further Education, Public or Health (e.g. NHS). You will have to show your commitment to information literacy by writing a short personal statement and explaining what benefits you would gain from attending the conference, including how you intend to use your conference experience in your work.
