The CILIP Information Literacy Group and LILAC committee are pleased to announce that we are offering 4 free LILAC 2018 conference places for librarians working in the following sectors in the UK:
- Further Education
- Health (e.g. NHS – please note; librarians working in Higher Education who support health subjects are not eligible to apply)
Your conference place includes 3 days’ attendance to all LILAC sessions and social events (networking evening and conference dinner). Accommodation and travel expenses up to the value of £250 are also available if required.
To be eligible for a place you must be a librarian or information professional working in the above mentioned sectors in the United Kingdom. You will have to demonstrate your commitment to information literacy by writing a short personal statement and explaining what benefits you would gain from attending the conference and how you intend to use your conference experience in your work.
If you would like to be considered for a free conference place, then please visit the LILAC 2018 website, where you will find a link to our application form.
All applications must be returned to us via firstname.lastname@example.org by the closing date of: 17:00 (GMT) on Wednesday 29th November 2017.
The Journal of Information Literacy has published interviews with the 2017 bursary winners, which give a fantastic insight into what you can expect from the experience of attending LILAC.
