Webinar: Developing Digital Literacy Skills

Developing Digital Literacy Skills

A webinar with Iain Baird, Academic Librarian at Teesside University

Thursday, 20th November 2014, 5:00-6:00 pm

Free! Places limited to 25

On 20th November, ARLG North-East is sponsoring a free webinar hosted by Iain, in which he will share his experiences of leading a change management project to develop CPD materials for academic staff to enhance the development of digital literacies. The aim of the project was to highlight the importance of digital literacy, to create staff development materials and to promote the embedding of these skills into the curriculum to enhance the student experience.

Please join us for an interesting, interactive discussion of the outcomes of the Teesside project.

We’ll be using Adobe Connect for this webinar. You won’t need to download any software, although an up-to-date Flash player is required. Generally, if watching YouTube works for you, you’ll be able to join us! You’ll also be able to ‘chat’ online to Iain and colleagues, or use headphones/speakers and a microphone to join in.

This free event has been designed to encourage participation by everyone. Please join us from the comfort of your own desk and be ready with your comments.

Booking: Because places are limited due to software licensing, please email Patricia Crosier (p.crosier@tees.ac.uk) by Tuesday, 18th November to reserve a spot. Patricia will reply with the webinar access link in advance of the event.
