UCISA spotlight on digital capabilities event – last chance to book

A very limited number of places are still available for the Spotlight on Digital Capabilities conference taking place at the University of Warwick on 15th-16th May, 2018. The event is being organised by the Digital Capabilities Group of UCISA (Universities and Colleges Information Systems Association), and this year has the theme of “From theory to action”.

Date:                       Tuesday 15 – Wednesday 16 May 2018

Venue:                     Radcliffe Conference Centre, University of Warwick

Booking details:        https://www.ucisa.ac.uk/groups/dcg/Events/2018/digcaps4

Hashtag:                  #udigcap

This year’s conference theme is from theory to action; delegates will explore strategies and approaches to moving beyond the theory of digital capabilities, the frameworks and the pilot projects to implementation and, ultimately, change.

Presenters from a range of institutions will showcase their work, share their experience, approaches and strategies to help delegates improve digital capabilities, engage staff and students in their digital skills development and instigate change at their institutions.

Following positive feedback from last year’s event, parallel sessions will run on the first day, allowing longer interactive workshops and an opportunity to select topics of most relevance to delegates’ roles and interests.  Take a look at the programme online for details of all the fantastic speakers.  There will be lots of opportunities to network with like-minded delegates from other institutions, share your experiences and make new connections.

This event will be of particular interest to those involved in supporting and promoting digital skills development, such as IT trainers, learning technologists, library and IT staff and educational developers.
