Register for Turning Points: Setting the Record Straight on LGBTQ+ History

The CILIP LGBTQ+ and Information Literacy Group networks would like to invite you to attend their upcoming free online event, Turning Points: Setting the Record Straight on LGBTQ+ History, taking place on Thursday 29 February, 13:00 – 14:00 (GMT).

Big changes in rights and legislation around LGBTQ+ people always come with their share of challenges around information and misinformation. Debate can become heavily political and heavily personal, with both sides of debates providing their share of propaganda. This event will look at three challenges in LGBTQ+ history, how misinformation coloured the public view of the issue and how (and if) these issues were overcome.

The event will be moderated by ILG’s Anne-Lise Harding. Matt Akersten, Beth Montague-Hellen, Tom Doyle and Patrick Hands will be the speakers.
