CILIP International Library & Information Group (ILIG) and the Information Literacy Group (ILG) extends an open invite to join us at our next informal!

Jane Secker, Chair of the CILIP Information Literacy Group will share her experiences of attending the European Conference on Information literacy over the past five years. This has not just given Jane a chance to visit some of the most beautiful cites in Europe (Dubrovnik, Prague and St Malo to name a few) to share her work, she has also met librarians and researchers from around the world and developed and an international community of practice on copyright literacy. Jane admits to having the conference bug – she loves travel, she loves meeting new people and sharing her ideas and discussing them with others. In this informal she will encourage you to think about presenting at an international conference, give you some tips for how to get funding and make the most out of the opportunity.
ILIG and ILG Informals are not lectures; they are informal, but informative, early evening meetings with a short talk on a theme of international interest plus plenty of time for questions and networking.
